Tropical Cyclone Alfred



Tropical Cyclone Alfred, the second Tropical Cyclone for the 2016-17 season

Tropical cyclone Alfred formed in the Gulf of Carpentaria on February 20 2017. Alfred formed from a tropical low pressure system that had meandered around the south west coast of the gulf between February 15 and 20 2017.

 

Tropical cyclone Alfred crossed the south east coast of the Gulf of Carpentaria in the Northern Territory as a category 1 tropical cyclone on February 21 2017. After making landfall TC Alfred was downgraded to a tropical storm.
