Tropical Cyclone Joshua

The second tropical cyclone in the Australian region for the 2020-21 season developed from a severe tropical low pressure system over the Indian Ocean West of Western Australia. The system intensified into a category 1 strength cyclone at 0800 AWST on January 16 2021 and then proceeded to move westward away from the Cocos Islands. Joshua is expected to continue moving west-southwest and not develop further.
