Tropical Cyclone Ernie

A Tropical Cyclone formed in the Indian Ocean on 6 April 2017 to the south east of Christmas Island. TC Ernie traveled south before developing into a category 5 system and turning towards the west. By 10 April Ernie had decayed into a tropical low. The system posed no particular threat to Cocos Island, Christmas Island or the mainland.
