Tropical Cyclone Caleb developed in the Indian Ocean near Cocos Island.

Tropical Cyclone Caleb formed in the open waters between Cocos and Christmas islands on 23 March 2017. Caleb developed into a category 1 Tropical Cyclone and moved in a south to southeasterly direction away from the two islands. On 25 March TC Caleb changed direction towards the west. Tropical Cyclone Caleb did not gain strength and was downgraded to a tropical low pressure system on 28 March, the system did not produce gales over Cocos or Christmas Islands or the WA mainland.
